Who Cares About Me Lunch time on Broadway where the hot dogs are gourmet Watch the Wall Street Wolves eat their lives away Sammy blows his saxophone with the air that’s in his soul With the pennies he gets thrown he can butter up a roll Who cares about me Who cares about me Another open hand in the land of the free Who cares about me Here comes the winter and we’re turning on the heat Better build a fire if you’re sleeping on the street Brenda built herself a home with a brand new cardboard box Made herself a wooden comb and a pillow out of rocks Who cares about me Who cares about me Another open hand in the land of the free Who cares about me Time for Thanksgiving and the turkey’s on the table Justice is a fantasy kindness is a fable Holly holds out her tin cup holds tight to memories When her words can’t say enough her eyes are begging please Who cares about me Who cares about me Another open hand in the land of the free Who cares about me

Miracle Man 03:16
Miracle Man He calls himself a miracle man I don’t believe it’s true Because I’ve seen miracles done with a witch's brew He says he’s a messenger sent from the One above I say he’s a pretender who didn’t get enough love Miracle man show me something new If you want me to believe in the things you do Show me you’re following a path that’s just Then maybe I’ll think twice before I call your bluff Once I saw the miracle man with a crowd up on a hill Using one of his charms to heal a man who’d taken ill The faces of the people were filled with fascination While off in the distance I watched his phony presentation Miracle man show me something new If you want me to believe in the things you do Show me you’re following a path that’s just Then maybe I’ll think twice before I call your bluff If you see the miracles, you don’t need a miracle man But don’t believe in a man because of a miracle he does Miracle man show me something new If you want me to believe in the things you do Show me you’re following a path that’s just Then maybe I’ll think twice before I call your bluff

Make Me a Sage Heaven help make me a sage open my mind to the words on the page Let them sink into my soul fill up my heart until I am whole The ways of the world are so far from me the more I analyze them the more I see I’m praying to the light of all the ages fill me with the wisdom of the sages Heaven help me to see through give me the eyes to see what is true Help me get out of this ignorant cage fill me with light make me a sage The ways of the world are so far from me the more I analyze them the more I see I’m praying to the rock of all the ages fill me with the wisdom of the sages When I was just a youth I was in the dark, you took me to the truth Here I am full of desire heaven help me I want to go higher The ways of the world are so far from me the more I analyze them the more I see I’m praying to the rock of all the ages I’m praying to the rock of all the ages fill me with wisdom… fill me with the wisdom of the sages

Wake Up 02:40
WAKE UP! Joey works so he can make some money he needs money so that he can live I asked him what he was living for he said that he had to go to work Larry likes to ride the roller coaster he says that it makes him feel alive I asked him what he was living for he said that he needs another ride Wake up! Wake up! It’s time to wake up! Rise and shine it’s a beautiful day Wake up! Wake up! You’d better wake up! Unless you’re planning on sleeping your life away When I was a kid my father wanted three things from me, he wanted me to be a BoyScout, wanted me to play baseball and he wanted me to go to college My first camping trip I was bit by a tick and I quit the Boy Scouts, I played baseball, they stuck me in right field, got hit in the head with the ball and that was it for my baseball career, and as for college... My old friends like to have a good time we could run all day dance all night If you asked us what we were living for we thought you were there to start a fight Wake up! Wake up! It’s time to wake up! Rise and shine it’s a beautiful day Wake up! Wake up! You’d better wake up! Unless you’re planning on sleeping your life, Unless you’re planning on sleeping your life, Unless you’re planning on sleeping your life away

Set the Dreamer Free My father was a poet I’m a songwriter He gave words a purpose I lifted them up higher Now he listens somewhere in the sky, now he listens somewhere in the sky If I was a tree my father would be the seed everything from him passed on to me My job is to do something unique; my job is to do something unique We don’t know what we can do until we’re put to the test Sometimes we need a push to do our best I would have gone forever, never knowing who I could be But I took a chance and let the dreamer free I could have been another man looking back at history But I heard my inner voice and let the dreamer free It might be a thought don’t just throw it away if you see a need, you can make a plan All you need is ground to take a stand all you need is ground to take a stand I didn’t know my worth until I dug down deep Found it was always there inside of me I would have gone forever, never knowing who I could be But I took a chance and let the dreamer free I could have been another man looking back at history But I heard my inner voice and let the dreamer free I could have been another man, but I let the dreamer free.

Save Me from My Own Disgrace Why wait till I’m at the gate to fear the Lord because He’s great He’s watching now no time to wait put me in my place and save me from my own disgrace The world is big and I’m so small the end can come in a moments call Better watch my step so I don’t fall I could never show my face save me from my own disgrace All the blood that’s in my veins all the air my lungs contain My arms and legs my heart and brain don’t lay my soul to waste save me from my own disgrace Why wait till I’m at the gate to fear the Lord because He’s great He’s watching now no time to wait put me in my place and save me… oh save me from my own disgrace
7.
The Promise of a Holy Man Lived in the room next to heaven a sacred life until he died When his spirit left his body, he really came alive He said he’s going to do what he can, the promise of a holy man He’ll pull you from the depths of despair by the fringes of your hair Come and pray give charity and he’ll do his best to intercede He guaranteed he’s going to do whatever he can the promise of a holy man When the righteous leave this world they defend us up above They can break a bad decree turning anger into love, turning anger into love He’ll pull you from the depths of despair by the fringes of your hair Come and pray give charity and he’ll do his best to intercede He guaranteed he’s going to do whatever he can the promise of a holy man Lived in the room next to heaven a sacred life until he died When his spirit left his body, he really came alive, he really came alive, The promise of a holy man

The Thunder 03:37
The Thunder One day if you’re shaken, you’ll begin to see when you’re reminded that you’re delicate and weak The voice from one who has the fear will start to speak Did you ever wonder… what’s the purpose of the thunder? When I tell you things that I’ve heard you say I’m crazy and don’t accept my words It’s because your philosophy is absurd Now your hearts torn asunder every time you hear the thunder! When I was a boy I didn’t know what was real living day to day doing what I feel Thought I was a hero that I was made of steel It was but a blunder… that’s before I heard the thunder! Some people pray when their worries become great fall on their knees and hope it’s not too late If only they’d remember that some words would change their fate And the burden that they’re under…shattered by the thunder! One day if you’re shaken, you’ll begin to see when you’re reminded that you’re delicate and weak The voice from one who has the fear will start to speak Did you ever wonder, what’s the purpose of thunder?
9.
A Wonderment of Life The Lord made day and He made night made a man and gave him a wife Worlds apart like day and night it’s a wonderment of life A man can’t stand on his feet without a wife he’s incomplete Like the sun lights up the sky it’s a wonderment of life Giving more than just her heart she plays a special part Giving trust and being true you’re there for her she’s there for you She’ll be your friend until the end Most of us don’t have a clue what a woman she can do Take a man and make him right it’s a wonderment of life Some have learned from the past sometimes this love doesn’t last But if you give, you’ll get back twice it’s a wonderment of life Giving more than just her heart she plays a special part Giving trust and being true you’re there for her she’s there for you She’ll be your friend until the end
10.
The End of Days Some people work all of their lives to retire and find peace of mind Others live day to day don’t think ahead and throw their money away The mind is weak the heart is strong everyone’s on the journey they’re on Whatever track you decide to take you’re gonna look back at the end of days I look at the past I had some grief in later years I found relief It didn’t take much to forgot what was I chalked it up to a worthy cause Change is slow the whole lifelong everyone’s on the journey they’re on Whatever road you decide to take you’re gonna wind up at the end of days The night is long we can only pray for the light of dawn When the sun will shine and light the way to a better day When the clouds are gone, and the light descends blessed is one who Repents before the end of days The wheel in the sky it turned around I was held up high then on the ground Eyes are blind, soul unseen roaming around from scene to scene I had to be brave I didn’t belong everyone’s on the journey they’re on False hope for a path of faith when I saw it led to the end of days The night is long we can only pray for the light of dawn When the sun will shine and light the way to a better day When the clouds are gone, and the light descends blessed is one who repents before the end of days

Needle and Thread Out of me and into you life passes through Like a spirit swelling in space All the heart and all the hate, in a circle of fate Spinning wildly like a wheel in a race Out of you and into me, love is like a sea Like a feeling flowing though time With the dream and the design, weaving into a line Swinging freely like a child on a vine When all our people are pulled tightly from where they’ve been spread And all our wounds are closed after all of us have bled When all the prisons crumble and our demons are all dead Our souls are sewn together by the same needle and thread Out of me and into you, peace passes through Like the sunlight warming our fears All the pain through the years, in a puddle of tears Drying slowly as the day disappears When all our people are pulled tightly from where they’ve been spread And all our wounds are closed after all of us have bled When all the prisons crumble and our demons are all dead Our souls are sewn together by the same needle and thread

If I Were Superman If I were President, they'd put my face on a four-dollar bill If I were King, my reign would rouse a thrill If I were a Builder I’d build forever if I were a Painter, I’d paint the day If I were a Millionaire, I’d buy whatever caught my eye And if I were Superman...I’d fly. If I were a Cowboy, I’d shoot the fastest gun If I were a Runner, I’d make the longest run If I were a Lion, I’d rule the jungle If I were a river I’d flow in peace If I were a Spaceman I’d go to every star in the sky And if I were Superman...I’d fly. But I’m just a kid from Brooklyn trying to keep my dreams alive I don’t have a lot of money, but I always seem to get by Maybe someday my luck will change maybe I’ll make a plan But, till that happens you’ve gotta understand... If I were a General, I’d bring peace to every war If I were Music, I’d play on every shore If I were a Hero, I’d save the day if I were a poet, I'd touch your soul If I were a detective, I’d solve the toughest crimes And if I were Superman...oh my If I were Superman.……I’d fly
13.
The Birds of Heaven The only song I want to sing is from the birds of heaven The birds of heaven are so pure and free They get their power from the place of prophesy The only words I want to hear are everlasting Words that are deep and true words of prophesy In the silence of the night there is music… music brings you close music heals the soul… It can make your spirit fly from your body… music sets you free music makes you whole… The birds of heaven are so pure and free They get their power from the place of prophesy In the silence of the night there is music… music brings you close music heals the soul… It can make your spirit fly from your body… music sets you free music makes you whole…
14.
A Place of Want The man who I was born to be the thing that’s real inside of me A prisoner in a place of want Somewhere on a sandy beach the message I was born to teach Abandoned for a place of want It’s a castle in the air in a wink I’m taken there A dream that stole my yesterday deceiving me today Coming back in misery from a trip I took regrettably To that place of want Enticing me from what is true a thought that came out of the blue Took me to that fairy-tale place of want It’s a castle in the air in a wink I’m taken there A dream that stole my yesterday deceiving me today A dream that stole my yesterday still deceiving me today

Through the Glass Took a walk one winter day the sky was cartoon blue Sat down in the corner café for coffee and the view Stared out at the scene… Through the glass I watch the world as my thoughts go flying past Every stranger that I see is a world away from me All these worlds are going by so fast I’m just a stranger, a stranger, a stranger through the glass Looking back on the years when I was someone else Moved around a lot while I searched for myself Sometimes you don’t know what you have till you lose what you’ve got Sometimes you don’t know who you are till you know who you’re not Through the glass I watch the world as my thoughts go flying past Every stranger that I see is a world away from me All these worlds are going by so fast I’m just a stranger, a stranger, a stranger through the glass

about

I know that for many, albums are a thing of the past, and to be perfectly honest I have been going the single release route. But, for those of you out there who appreciate the "Album Experience" I'm hoping that this will satisfy that place of want within you.
I've chosen from songs I've recorded this year. Although some of them might be familiar as I have released them as piano/vocal tunes, but even those have been freshly performed and re-recorded.
I hope you enjoy it!
Wishing you and yours only good things, Gedalya

I'd like to give thanks to The Lord Above for helping me to develop as a singer-songwriter, for all the inspiration He constantly gives me and for this new album release. (In addition to the general thanks for my life and every breath I take).
A very special thanks to my wife for all of her encouragement and support with my music career, I wouldn't be able to create new music without her.
I'd also like to thank my producer and friend Craig Levy @LittlePioneerStudios in NYC for his help and guidance in the studio.
Lastly but surely not least, a special thanks to all of my family, friends and fans for their support and feedback. It really means a lot to me when I hear that my music has become a part of your life and has given you inspiration, comfort and strength.
